This SLM has been specifically design for standard seal liquid applications. The V-meter is a good choice for any seal water application that exceeds 3.5 USGPM, up to a maximum of 8.5 USGPM. A pressurizing valve is available as an accessory for the V-meter, if required. In the dual tube setup the first V2K-meter measures the flow to the seal and the second flow tube measures the flow from the seal (usually called the seal drain). This is the same arrangement as the dual SLMx-2. With this arrangement, the seal condition can be reported. If the flow to the seal is less than the flow out of the seal, then the seal is leaking from the process. If the flow to the seal is more than the flow from the seal, then the seal water is leaking into the process." |

This SLM has been specifically design for standard seal liquid applications. The K-meter can be used with flows up to 35 USGPM in seal water or flush applications. For more exotic seal water applications, K meters are being used for example, in the mining industry for special pump applications and copper refining. In the dual tube setup the first K2K-meter measures the flow to the seal and the second flow tube measures the flow from the seal (usually called the seal drain). This is the same arrangement as the dual SLMx-2. With this arrangement, the seal condition can be reported. If the flow to the seal is less than the flow out of the seal, then the seal is leaking from the process. If the flow to the seal is more than the flow from the seal, then the seal water is leaking into the process." |
